03/28/2007 - Al Tracy demonstrating breaking skills.

This photograph was taken by Bill Yazel during a demonstration by the instructors of the Tracy's Kenpo Dojo of Santa Clara in 1973. The instructors had finished a breaking demonstration and asked GM Al if he wanted to break. Al took the remaining boards and piled them on the cinder blocks. Remarkably Master Yazel snapped the photograph just at the power had transferred through the boards and the bottom board began to breaking. An extraordinary demonstration of a "controlled focus power break" captured on film by chance, though Master Yazel will swear he planned to time it that way.
